Finding a place to stay in Kuala Lumpur is usually is not a problem. You get a wide range of accommodation in Kuala Lumpur to suit your budget ranging from bed and breakfast facilities to five-star hotels. Motels are also available as well as youth hostels, including the YMCA.

Generally, hotels are located along main thoroughfares such as Jalan Ampang, Bukit Bintang, Pudu, Raja Laut, Sultan Ismail and Tuanku Abdul Rahman.

Many of these hotels are also located near public transport hubs such as Light Rail Transit systems, as well as within walking distance to the city's attractions.

The rule of thumb, if you are a first-timer to Kuala Lumpur, is to pick a hotel that is near transport hubs and food and entertainment outlets.
